our trip to the piney shores aquarium

we'd originally set out to go to an air show at cherry point air base, but when we got there and got our new stroller out, it ended up having a flat tire. so we had to go to wal-mart and buy a new inner tube for it and, by the time we were ready to roll (pun intended), it was too late for the show. we'd driven an hour and a half to get there, so we weren't about to just turn around defeated... we went to the aquarium instead. =)

a carnival!

last weekend, there was a carnival on base. we don't have many pics, since our hands were full with snowcones and prizes we won, but here are a few...

^ bumper cars! shane had trevin safely restrained in what appears to be a headlock. =)

^ trevin just loved smashing into people.

you'll have to turn your head sideways to view this. i didn't trust myself to "follow" them down the slide, so i had the camera sideways to catch the whole slide. =)
everyone in line (and i think the ride operators as well) were a little hesitant to see trevin go down the slide... especially after the bigger and older kid who went before him cried... but he had a blast! =)

next, we have whiskey jack in the swing. he was so relaxed, he fell asleep shortly after this pic was taken. =)

teagan's first birthday!

ok, these blogs are ALL out of order... teagan's first birthday was february 28th, but we just recently uploaded all the pics to this computer. i've been trying to group them into blog subjects and post a few every so often. so, here are his party pics. just a couple months later. =)

easter 2009

these first two are from the weekend before easter. teagan stayed home with shane so trevin and i could have some one on one time. i had heard about an easter picnic at the hospital on base, from a friend of mine who's husband works there, so i decided we'd stop by. i'm not sure it was open to anyone outside of the hospital staff and their families, but no one seemed to notice us there. =)

first family beach trip of 2009

on april 18th we took advantage of the warm weather and headed to the beach. we went to a non-public beach on base and there was barely anyone there, since it's still early in the "beach season". it was beautiful. the water was cold and there was a bit of a chill in the air, but the sand was warm and we found a low spot, out of the wind, to hang out in.

^ we don't know what this old cement structure was/is, but it made a nice fort!

^ all that sun and sand made for a dirty, tired, grumpy looking trevin.
