at the park in greenville, sc

last weekend the boys and i drove to greenville, sc to visit our friends who used to live here on base, but recently moved. emily is one of my best friends and the boys were really good friends with her son, raine. (both seen previously in the aquarium post) so, with shane gone and us having nothing better to do, we made the 7 hr drive. =)

^ downtown greenville is beautiful! it rained the first couple days we were there, but then the skies cleared and it warmed up, so we headed to the park. i believe this was falls park or something like that. where the river cuts right through downtown and there's a big bridge and park area. so beautiful! there's a stage area for outdoor events and this is teagan falling down while trying to get up there. =)

^ trevin's getting better at smiling for the camera. while raine was busy drinking from a nearby puddle. while we were there, the boys found the only puddle around and managed to absorb the entire thing into their jeans by the time we left.

^ and here we have raine and trevin on a longboard, riding around. teagan was riding too, but by this time, he was in the stroller because it was time to go get some ice cream! =)

p.s. yes, the boys were all 3 wearing their beatles shirts that day. =)

when we got back to nc, trevin suggested we go to chuck e cheese's with daddy before he left for afghanistan. so here's a few pics from that.

christmas 2009

we had planned on spending christmas at home in north carolina. our first christmas as a family, without traveling. we'd have our first live tree since we've been married, and make lots of happy memories... but then things changed (as they always do!) and we ended up flying to wa for christmas with our families. i was super happy to be able to go "home" for the holidays, although i must admit, it was a bit stressful being so last minute. things turned out well after all... here's pics!
