Easter 2010

we were very blessed this easter! even with shane out of country, we had a great, sunny day spent with friends and full of His goodness!

i know there are dozens of people out there praying for us during this deployment. not only because i've been told so, but because God has been so visible in our lives lately!

one easter-related example of this is a package i got in the mail last month. it was from a man in michigan who i'd bought a book off of e-bay from. he knew from our address that we were a military family and had refunded the cost of shipping for me when i bought the book as his way of thanking me for what we do. i thought that was really kind of him... and then i got this box on top of it! it had all sorts of easter basket goodies for the kids; coloring books, crayons, books, jelly beans, chocolate bunnies, and even a burger king gift card. he sent a letter along with it saying that he just felt he wanted to do more to thank us for what we do and that he'd also sent a box to shane with snacks and books for him and the guys. i'm still amazed at what this guy did for us, people he's never met or seen, just because he wanted to make our lives (and easter) a bit brighter. it worked! i'll never forget this man's kindness towards my family. and all because i bought a book on e-bay! =)

march 2010 (and the 1st few days of april)

no major family outings to speak of this month. just a bunch of staying at home, enjoying the last few weeks of it being just me, trevin and teagan. =)
